History:
Illyana suddenly appeared in Jennifer Stravos' life one evening and the two have been nearly inseperable since then. She has told little of her past to anyone other than Jennifer; not that any would belive her anyway. As it is, her version varies from that of reality. Her subjective history is one of pain, strife, torture and hatred that spanned a number of years. Her objective history is of fire, a multi-year coma, then a sudden disappearance. Vanished without trace some years ago, she has long been pronounced dead by the Russian authorites.
She doesn't directly assist Jennifer in any of her business concerns, though helps with moral support and general advice. By the rumors, she and Henry (Jenny's father) agree that Jennifer needs the experience. Also by the rumors, she's one of the few people that have ever managed to just plain freak Henry out. She is frequently seen at the Hell Fire Club as Jennifer's guest, and many of those jaded individuals feel much the same of her: Pretty, but best admired from a distance.
