though. And if you wanted to check her juvenile record, well,
too bad. It's sealed.

History:
Start with a little bit of J-Lo, add a dash of Madonna, a sprinkling of any Stripper that's ever been on "Jenny Jones," "Maury," or "Rikki Lake," and a heaping spoonful of a car-thieving tough-guy mechanic and you've got Vegas cake. She's known in her neighborhood as someone who made it without bothering with The Man. In a climate in which most men are in jail, working minimum wage, or not working at all, and where the women take care of their children, hook, or sell drugs, when someone uses illegal means to help both the community and 67% not working at all, and where the women take care of their children, hook, or sell drugs, when someone uses illegal means to help both the community and herself monetarily, there are no complaints. Vegas is, plain and simple, a car thief. She is one of the quickest, cleanest, and best-known large-merchandise thieves in the city. Thanks to her skills, Vegas lives a very comfortable life while still being able to give back to the Harlem neighborhood she grew up in. Unfortunately, due to rivalry between thieves, Vegas' skills are not welcome in that area of Manhattan (though her money is).

Strength level: She's fierce in tae-bo! Otherwise, she's of
normal strength for a woman who works out at least a half hour a day,
every day.
Known superhuman powers: Vegas can control the movement of
objects that are coming towards her. In other words, she can slow down
any non-living item thrown her way. She doesn't need to dodge bullets.
Also, Vegas has what she calls the "Psychic Touch." She can handle
non-living items and simply from that contact, she can gather
information about the last handler or owner of the item. She's the
reverse Rogue - Rogue doesn't touch sentient beings for fear that
she'll absorb their minds, Vegas doesn't touch non-sentient objects (or
tries not to) for fear that she'll be inundated by visions she doesn't
want to have to deal with.
Other abilities: Gambler extraordinaire, thief, mechanic,
and singer.
Weapons and paraphernalia: Thieving tools, pocket-knife,
handgun (always the same one), lighter, a mass of fake Ids and lots
of different hair extensions - just in case.
