History:

Life was normal for Ororo until the age of eleven, when her parents were killed in a bombing attack during the Arab-Isreali conflict. Ororo herself was trapped under the rubble of the house for hours that seemed like days. Her tiny bubble of isolated safety closed in around her. Her hysterical screams were what led the rescuers to her location, but she was far too distraught to be comforted, and ran away, into the labyrinthine back-alleys of Cairo.

She was found and 'adopted' by Achmed El-Gibar, a master thief, who trained her in his craft. Living in the rough-and-tumble soap-opera that is the darker side of Cairo, she soon lost all respect for the giggling girls she used to know, who had no idea about 'real' life.

At age 14, puberty had had its effect on Ororo. Her blossoming beauty attracted the eye of an associate of her guardian's, but his propositions were met with a vicious storm which eventually stripped the room off the hut they were in. Puberty had left Ororo with more than just an womanly figure.

Ororo, taking full responsibility for what happened through her powers and lack of discipline, left Cairo, heading south into Africa. She came to rest in Kenya, in an area she thought deserted. It wasn't, however, and a local tribe took her for a goddess (unsurprisingly, considering the sudden odd weather and Ororo's now white hair).

The gullibility of the tribe completely failed to impress her, but they took her condescending and occasionally sneering attitude as merely the proper behaviour for a being so far above them. Ororo took this opportunity to concentrating on gaining control of her powers. It was not an easy process, with numerous forces tugging at her attention and so many things to think about. Frequently it was trial and error, and the tribesmen typically responded to such impossible events as out of control weather or sudden floods with a stoic 'the gods move in mysterious ways' attitude which didn't improve Ororo's mood. All in all, she supposed the tribesmen were quite nice people. They were harmonious and kind, but their weakness manifested itself in their unquestioning acceptance of a someone above them. Someone who wasn't even a goddess.

She stayed with the tribe for several years, learning a fairly rudimentary control of her powers in the process. It was here that she was found, at the age of 18, by Magneto, whose investigative contacts had tracked her down. After a less than cordial beginning to their relationship, Ororo returned to Europe with him, more than happy about the opportunity to gain complete control over her powers, plus joining an elite group.

She threw herself into the Brotherhood. Her respect for Magneto soared once she comprehended the true scope of his organisation and vision. She adored the company she found herself in, the atmosphere and the opportunities to excel. Which she did with gay abandon, pushing herself to gain complete control over her powers, both already manifested and latent. She also worked hard at the martial arts training available to her.

While the planning of the organisation continued, Ororo continued to train, but also attended university - Cambridge, to be precise. She studied sociology, anthropology, and a smattering of psychology. She completed the degree with flying colours, and Honours, at age 23 and began working on her PhD. This was around the time of the Black Prom, and it becoming apparent that the time to move would be soon. She made short visits to the United States to assist Magneto behind-the-scenes, first with his stunning 'debut' at the Symposium, then later with the quelling of the bushfires.

She has recently relocated to Columbia University to complete her PhD (which, incidentally, has the working title of "Dominator or dominated: Mankind's hidden weaknesses") under a highly respected anthropologist. She has also had a preliminary paper published in an academic journal. The paper was entitled "The God Syndrome" and was a brief look at the tendency towards religion among human civilisations. It was received with mixed reactions in the field.

Height: 5'11" Weight: You didn't just ask a lady that question, did you?
Eyes: Blue Hair: White
Apparent Age: 24
Unusual physical characteristics: Apart from that stunning white hair, you mean? When she is accessing her powers, her eyes go completely white.
Strength level: Usual for a fit woman of her build.
Known superhuman powers: Manipulation of the weather is "Storm's" forte, plus the disconcerting ability to channel lightning. Suggestions have been made of some sort of flying ability, but this remains visually unconfirmed.
Other abilities: Ororo has a variety of petty thief skills, rusty with disuse. She also has some considerable hand-to-hand skill. She can construct an argument in three seconds flat and debate semantics with the best of them. Oh, and she never gets lost in the library.
Weapons and paraphernalia: As well as her usual Brotherhood gear, Ororo has a motorbike - silver, polished, sleek. Don't get between a woman and her bike, if you know what's good for you. What she doesn't have is many guns.
Other notes: This OHXET entry was written by the original player for Storm. The current player is keeping it up with full credit to her, and, should the original player so desire it, it will be removed. (A new picture was chosen by the current player, however)
