History:
Serenity Waters was born to Paul and Allyssa Waters, Children of the 60's Free Love movement. While most of those people grew out of the hippy phase Paul and Allyssa did not. For them it was a way of life. They raised her to be have the same views and values as they had. She grew up close to all her neighbors and grew a special attachment to the grocer that her parents always went to in Chinatown, Mr Leung. She was very close to and fond of them.
Everything was going well till the fateful winter when Serenity turned 19 and they went on a trip to Canada for a flower show. On thier way back into JFK airport their plane was struck by a laser blast of some sort as they crossed the Michigan/Canadian border and in the ensuing crash both parents were killed. Unfortunately Serenity was helpless to save them and had to watch them die. What caused the crash was never discovered. While it could have easily been a misfire from government testing rumors abated that it was a mutant attack. This stuck with her and from that day forth she has had a phobia of mutants. She picked up the pieces, kept the flower shop open, and managed to enroll herself in NYU. Now she goes on, day to day, living life as she thinks her parents would have wanted her to: living in the loft above the shop that was once her family home, working in the shop, and going to school.

Other notes: Always up for a good time. Her sense of morals
and attitude are straight out of Woodstock. She'd never intentionally
hurt anyone. Also there's that pesky Muta-Phobia that makes freak out
if she were to encounter a Powered Mutant. It's an irrational fear that
can't be controlled. Her rational mind disagrees with it but when the
phobia sets in there is no reasoning only terror.
