History: Paris is one of those people who once had a purpose and has had his foundation torn out from under him in a very traumatic manner. Until several months ago the main premise of his past was that he was a Frenchman, born in the late 1400s and a servant of the Christian Church. His role, albeit a minor one in the beginning, was serving as an errand boy for the Church. This role was looked down upon by almost everyone, and Paris was extremely unhappy carrying out his daily chores under the priests. As the Holy Crusades began to take shape, Paris departed his menial duties and attached himself to a knight, specifically Eobar Barrington. Throughout several years of adventuring through the thickest and thinnest of times, Paris developed an affinity for Eobar. This affinity helped establish a strong sense of loyalty and duty in young Paris, as well as the majority of precepts of the chivalric code. As the battles of the Crusades continued south and east through Europe and into southwest Asia, Eobar and Paris became aware of a place of power hidden in the sands of Egypt. The rumors had electrified Paris, and his very nature seemed to point him in the direction of the mysterious locale. A strange woman speaking an outlander's tongue, presumably a witch, showed up and captured Eobar's fascination as the rumors of power had Paris's. Rather than subject his distracted master to the dangers of the sands, Paris set out alone on the journey to uncover the power lurking under the sands.

Long he traveled, through some of the roughest weather the desert had to offer. A preternaturally wicked sandstorm kicked up during one day, and Paris's camel buckled, throwing Paris from the saddle. It seemed he was lucky enough to not suffer a serious wound, but a sprained ankle would spell death if shelter could not be found quickly. As if in answer, he happened upon an outcropping where a strange voice seethed into his ears. It foretold of great power, but only if he could prove himself worthy. At this point, a hideous scarab-man emerged from the sands, and battle was joined. The scarab was much too fast for Paris's sword work, and his weapon went sailing out of reach. As the scarab made its final, fatal attack, a flare of power emerged from Paris's mind, collapsing the scarab into nothing more than a husk, its mind gone. It was at this point that the High Lord Apocalypse took him in and refashioned his image into the harbinger of the trial, Exodus. Through some means, Eobar and the witch were captured and brought into the High Lord's citadel under the sands. In order to prove Exodus's loyalty, Apocalypse pitted Eobar and Exodus in a battle to the death. The fair skinned witch intervened, causing a pause in Exodus's fealty to his new lord. The loyalties he held with his former friend and master were stronger than that with his new lord. In this moment, Exodus turned and lashed out at Apocalypse, sealing his fate for near 600 years. He was placed in hibernation in a mountain range, only to wake when the costly mistake might be mended through service to the High Lord. Upon the dawning of the new thousand years, Exodus stirred from his tomb. It was time to take up his chosen task of preparing the world for the End of Times....

These memories were brought into bear after his mutant abilities manifested, during which his mind wiped itself clean of its old persona and instilled a past reinforced by his own telepathy. The reality of this belief was absolute to him until he came into the possession of the Sefton Asylum on Ward Island. After months upon months of torture, both mental and physical, his mind is a shattered wreck (although this is arguably an improvement over his previous condition.) He has recently slipped through a breach in security that allowed him a chance to teleport away. Now, the goons from the Sefton Asylum are after him in order to bring him back or silence him forever.
