History:

Evangeline Crichton is the first daughter of Dr. John Crichton. Her mother died while giving birth to Arcadia, Crichton's second daughter. Eve was 5 at the time. Perhaps it was the early death of her mother, and her father fussing with a newborn baby, in any case, Eve was mostly left to her own devices, and she preferred it that way.

At 13, Eve's powers manifested themselves. A few years later, Arcadia's powers showed her to be a mutant as well. Excited about the superhuman abilities of his daughters, Dr. Crichton encouraged them to explore and develop their powers as much as they can, but he also managed to keep the mutant status of his daughters a secret.

A few months before Eve's 18th birthday, an explosion at GenTech's laboratories claimed the life of her father and two of his assistants. Eve and Arcadia found themselves under the care of their only living relative; an aunt from their father's side. She was the classical eccentric aunt, and traveled abroad constantly, leaving the two sisters without much supervision-"after all, they're old enough to take care of themselves."

Each girl dealt with her grief in her own way, Eve just buried herself in her schoolwork, her plant studies, and her music. Arcadia on the other hand, went completely wild. And the more Eve tried to discipline and control her sister, the more rebellious Arcadia became.

After two years of this, Arcadia ran away. Every effort to find Arcadia was fruitless, and the search was abandoned after 10 months; the police being distracted by the case of serial killer in the vicinity.

For a while Eve lived a hermit's life, working in a local book shop all day and most of the night, and spending her precious free time in her father's study or the greenhouse. But soon she tired of this; her area of specialization, ethnobotany, demanded that she immerse herself in the cultures and tribes that are portrayed in her textbooks.

Boarding up her father's house, Eve packed her essential research tools in her father's truck and took to the road, ending up at an Indian Reservation in the California desert. Several months was all she needed before she decided that a more remote culture, one that has not been so affected by civilization is the key to her research. So she sold her father's truck and bought a ticket to the Amazon.

The tribes living in the Amazon rain forest is just what she was looking for. She lived with one of the families, in their hut, gaining first-hand experience in applying different methods and uses for a great variety of plants.

This state of happiness did not last as long as Eve wished it to. After several incidents, Eve's mutant abilities were exposed and she was chased out of the rain forest jungle. A filming company, specifically an Australian sound man named Brian Graves, took her under it's wing. She worked at cleaning, running errands, and tidying up their camp until the film was complete, and as a result, earned a ticket back home to the US.

Back in the US, Graves sold his apartment and gave Eve his van before he returned to Australia. Instead of returning to Seattle, Eve took to wandering around the US, visiting greenhouses and seed libraries, and discovering that fear, hatred, and ignorance towards mutants is predominant in the West as well. Finally, her travels take her to New York.

Height: 5'5" Weight: Lighter than she looks
Eyes: A light hazel color with a halo of brilliant crystal green circling the iris.
Hair: Light Auburn
Unusual physical characteristics: Just her eyes.
Strength level: Higher than average pain and endurance level, but nothing that would mark her as a mutant.
Known superhuman powers: Can speed grow plants at an alarming rate. On the other hand, she is able to suck life and essence out of established trees and plants to restore and rejuvenate her body. Can also identify a terrestrial plants abilities and capabilities as soon as she touches it or its seeds.
Other abilities: Plays the flute pretty well. And though she doesn't have a degree to prove it, her knowledge in herbs and botany is equal to that of a professional.
Weapons and paraphernalia: She carries a whole arsenal of medicinal and poisonous seeds and plants either in her van or on her person (via small metallic tubes that she sticks in her belt or in her breast pockets).
Other notes: Eve's bark is worse than her bite; she has very little people skills and might come across as either aggressive or strange.
