History:

Thomas Boyd came from somewhat of a troubled family life. Though his parents were wealthy, his mother was an alcoholic, and he was quite aware even as a young child that his father was sleeping with the maid. His older brother, a decorated military officer who worked with the Pentagon, was always held up as the ideal, and Thomas never measured up in the eyes of his father.

When he was a child, he was playing with his little sister Alyssa one day, when she asked him to push her on the swings. Constantly telling him to push her higher, he finally did and Alyssa fell off. She landed on her head and died shortly thereafter.

Although it was an accident, his father and brother blamed Thomas, while his mother just sank deeper into the bottle. He was shuffled off to boarding school after boarding school, and he made it a point to be kicked out for troublemaking, but his family continued to ignore him for the most part. He became somewhat of a bully, pushing around weaker kids. Once, while Thomas was a teenager attending school in Connecticut, someone fought back. Of course, it was pointless from the start, as Thomas had devoted a lot of his time to studying the martial arts, but this day something else happened. Thomas grabbed the boy and his mutant power activated for the first time. He let go before the boy was killed, and claimed to others that he hit a pressure point, though both he and the other boy knew something completely different had happened.

Shortly afterwards, apparently on a whim, he decided to leave school entirely and head to New York.

Once there, he was almost immediately contacted by the man who would become the leader of the Mutant Liberation Front. The man treated him like a son, thus quickly gaining his loyalty, while at the same time training him more extensively in his fighting skills. They later came upon the group forming around Fabian Cortez and Caliban, using them to form the core of the MLF.

Height: 6'1" Weight: 175 lbs.
Eyes: Blue Hair: Red
Unusual physical characteristics: None
Strength level: Thomas Boyd possesses the normal human strength of a man his age, height and build who engages in intensive regular exercise. His strength, speed, and endurance can be augmented beyond this through the use of his energy leeching power.
Known superhuman powers: Boyd possesses the mutant ability to drain away the 'life' energy from someone through physical contact. The effect works through light clothing, and can be transmitted at a distance through conductive metals. Sustained contact leads to unconsciousness within a few seconds, and longer could be fatal. Boyd's own adrenal system is stimulated when he uses this power on another person, making him physically energized. The exact extent he can energize himself in this manner is not yet know. Boyd is also surrounded to an extent by a psionic static, which disrupts passive psionic contacts, essentially making him invisible to a telepath who is not targetting his mind directly (and through line of sight contact).
Other abilities: Thomas Boyd has a brown belt in karate and is well trained in Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, and boxing, as well as lesser training in other forms. He has also been trained in firearms, though prefers to use himself as a weapon.
Weapons and paraphernalia: Himself. Like all members of the MLF, he has also been provided with bullet-resistant body armor which can be worn beneath clothes.
Other notes: Thomas has a prevalence for violence. He enjoys using his powers.
