Dani and Sunspot race to get help for badly injured Amara, while the rest of the mutants try to rescue their friend Doug Ramsey.
As an event, Necrosha promised a lot, much like the Blackest Night storyline in DC. The return of dead characters, both friends and foes, even if only temporarily.
In reality, because they're controlled by another force, the characters barely feel like themselves, and so it's less satisfying. Although there's a flash of the characters supposedly behaving as themselves, it never really feels like it's really them, and so the appearance of characters like the Hellions feels more like a cameo when I really wanted to actually have them a part of the book again.
And in certain ways, this part of the storyline reads as predictable, an effort to return two characters of the classic book to the fold. That it happens is not really a surprise.
How they get there, is still reasonably fun. The action's entertaining. The art feels a little scratchier and less polished this time around than in previous issues, but it does a fair job. It just feels like it's missing something.
