Captain Britain and MI:13 #12 - "Vampire State, Part Two"

While Spitfire must deal with the unpleasantness of being under Dracula's thrall on the moon, the rest of the team learns that Dracula is after a magical artifact protecting Britain.
Last issue was thoroughly enjoyable despite being a 'get-everybody- where-they're-supposed-to-be' issue, this one is a little less so, as it feels a little heavier on straight combat, and the character moments, although still there, don't resonate quite as well with me.
The issue also suffers from a problem Cornell seems to have from time to time, where it's not exactly clear what's happening, just on a mechanical level. For example, when Captain Britain's under attack by magic, I can't tell if it's actually physically pressing him down and making him unable to fight back, it's doing something unspecified that's magical to him while he's going continuing the battle, or merely being centered on him and preparing to create some kind of magical hologram. But the plot is still thrilling, particularly since it seems like it's still going to get worse before it gets better.
